A Level Progression in Photography




Who should attend
Anyone with an interest in photography looking to gain a thorough understanding of the subject, particularly from A Level progression to A2. You may be interested in studying photography further in the future.
Course Detail
On the course, you will gain a thorough overview of photography, and learn there really is no distinction between digital and analogue cameras. I’ll introduce you to photography’s historical, contextual and technical aspects. Expect to be guided through the processes and techniques, explore and manipulate your work to create a set of unique images. You’ll also have the opportunity to discuss and reference photographers and current exhibitions which will inspire and inform your work. We will go on location shooting around the area and discuss how to improve and refine results. I will also demonstrate how to set up a blog of your work for University/Foundation applications.
Course Outcomes
The course will give you the confidence and ability to gain control of your photographs and contextual understanding and you’ll leave with a small portfolio of work and online blog. Moreover, you’ll understand how images are generated in a camera.
